A Brand New Luxury Cruise - Peony
Recently open, Peony cruise welcomed our team at home - as they call it - under a shower of rose's petals. The junk sails through the limestones of Lan Ha Bay, an unknown area for guaranteed relaxing holidays. Itinerary
Day 1:
On the first day around 9.00am, your driver picks you up in Hanoi on a comfortable mini-van. You arrive at the Ferry Terminal in Cat Hai Town (near Cat Ba) after a 2 hour drive through the Vietnamese green landscapes. A lounge with refreshments is available for you to wait around 30/45 minutes before a short transfer by tender to the junk – your new home –.
The crew welcomes you on board with a refreshing drink and the cruise manager introduces the team, presents the program and gives the mandatory safety instructions. It is time for you to enter in your beautiful cabin and admire the wonderful view of Ha Long Bay (on your left) & Lan Ha Bay (on your right) from your private balcony.

Around 1.30pm, a buffet or set lunch (depending on the passenger’s number) is served while cruising through the limestones.
Seafood Meal
At 3.00pm, a kayak activity is organized. On the tender, you sail to a floating nautical base to embark on a kayak. You are free to paddle around the area during one hour maximum. Make the most of the silence to relax, admire the view and observe the life on the Bay.
Kayaking in the Bay
You’re heading back to the junk on the tender boat. And before taking a rest in your cabin, you can enjoy a swim in the warm water behind the junk.
Late afternoon (around 6.00pm), the cooking lesson whets your appetite for the dinner, served eventually on the deck if the weather allows it. Enjoy a free evening, or try to catch a squid!
Day 2:
Here comes already the second day. Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Gulf of Tonkin and join a Tai Chi class on the deck.
At 7.00am, enjoy a breakfast buffet with a beautiful view over the Bay.
Departure for an excursion on Cat Ba Island around 8.00am on the tender boat. After a short bus drive through Cat Ba National Park, your tour guide takes you to the wonderful shiny cave of Trung Trang full of stalagmites and stalactites of different shapes. Head back to the junk to pack and check-out. The tour lasts 1h30 in total.

A brunch is served before you leave the junk, so you can enjoy the experience until the last minute. Your cruise comes at the end, you are sailing back to the harbor and driven back to Hanoi.
