Day 01

Hanoi Arrival

Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel to relax

Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi

Meals: Not included

Upon arriving in Hanoi, Asia Top Travel's tour guide will personally meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is time at leisure. 
Day 02

Hanoi - Bac Ha

Hanoi City Tour and transfer to Bac Ha

Accommodation: Hotel in Bac Ha

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

In the morning, a 45 minute Cyclo Tour takes you through the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The old quarter is also known as the 36 streets and guilds, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Originally each of the street’s names was related to the products being sold there.
Move to Ho Chi Minh Complex including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, His House-on-Stilts, One Pillar pagoda…
Visit the Temple of Literature - a temple to Confucius, this is also known as Vietnam’s first University dating back to 1070.

Lunch at a local restaurant.
 
Enjoy a 3.5 hours drive along the new highway to Lao Cai. Transfer to Bac Ha town.
Day 03

Bac Ha Sunday Market - Hoang Su Phi

Visit Bac Ha cultural market and drive to Hoang Su Phi - a great trekking area in Vietnam

Located 110km from Sapa, Bac Ha mountain town is well-known by travelers with the most colorful market of the hill tribes in the North of Vietnam. This every-Sunday-market is attended by at least 8 ethnic groups. It is also a chance to discover the H’mong King’s palace (old building built by the French & Chinese). Transfer towards Hoang Su Phi. Make stops on the way to take photos of the landscape and short walks to visit some village.  Upon arrival at Thong Nguyen a trekking point to Nam Hong village and embark on a short trek (about 2 hours) to a Red Yao village for the home-stay.
Day 04

Hoang Su Phi Trek

A full day trekking in Hoang Su Phi leads you through beautiful terrace paddy fields and local families

Spend the whole day for a further trek to explore the mountains of Hoang Su Phi. This area is well-known for its dramatic rice terraces and also has been recognized as the national heritage. The highlights of the day also include the local hill tribes who you will meet on the way such as the Tay people, the Black Yao people or Yao with long tunic, the Red Yao people.

Your picnic lunch will be served at a local family somewhere on the hike.

Late in the afternoon, you will meey a family of the H'Mong ethnic minority where you will have dinner and experience the second night at a local house. This is a great chance for you to experience the authenticity of the local culture and life. 
Day 05

Hoang Su Phi - Ha Giang - Quan Ba - Yen Minh - Dong Van

A long ride brings you to the most beautiful landscapes of Ha Giang province

Accommodation: Hotel in Dong Van

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Drive from Hoang Su Phi to Dong Van via to Ha Giang city, Yen Minh & Quan Ba. The scenery today is spectacular – a vast limestone mountain range and perpendicular walls of rock. You’ll call in at the infamous Vuong Palace, once the home of a high-ranking H’mong family during French colonial rule. Stop at Quan Ba twin mountain and heaven gate. Today you have many chances to take pictures of Vietnam’s outstanding landscape. Arrive to Dong Van in the late afternoon and check-in at your hotel.

Dinner is served at a local restaurant.
Day 06

Dong Van - Meo Vac - Ba Be

Drive through Ma Pi Leng pass to Meo Vac and Ba Be

Accommodation: Homestay in Ba Be

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

In the morning, travel to Ba Be. The scenery is spectacular and the road runs along the sides of the mountains. Stop en-route to take pictures of Ma Pi Leng pass, the most spectacular pass of the Northeast Vietnam. 
 
Tonight you will have a dinner and stay at Pac Ngoi village, where Tay people are living. (The Tay people is one of the 54 Vietnamese group who still keep living very traditional style). You will have a chance to enjoy a delicious dinner made by Tay woman. Overnight in stilt house.
Day 07

Ba Ba - Hanoi

Enjoy the boat trip on Ba Be Lake before driving back to Hanoi

Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Breakfast will be served before setting off for your boat trip in Ba Be National Park. Travel on a private boat on the Ba Be Lake first visiting the Puong Cave, famous for its thousands of bats. Continue down the Nang river to see the Dau Dang Waterfall.

Head to Cho Ra for lunch.
 
In the afternoon, drive back to Hanoi.
Day 08

Hanoi - Halong Bay

Enjoy the overnight cruise trip on Halong bay

In the morning, head to Halong Bay.
Embark on a boat early afternoon and start gliding out to the centre of the World Heritage Site.

Lunch, at the boat’s restaurant of fresh local seafood.

Sail through Dog Head and Swan Islands, Ba Hang Floating villages (with floating houses), Incense Burner then Thumb Islands before reaching to Luon cave area for kayaking. Visit the Titop Island with one hour for swimming, sun-bathing or getting a panoramic view on island peak.
As the sun sets over the bay, head back to the boat and relax.
 
Dinner on board. After dinner you may choose to enjoy drinks from the bar or top deck or experience squid fishing before retiring.
Day 09

Halong Bay - Hanoi

Visiting Sung Sot cave before cruising back the harbor and driving to Hanoi

Enjoy the morning view of the beautiful landscape with a cup of coffee or tea. Have breakfast in the fresh air. Visit the impressive Cave of Halong Bay – Surprising Cave (Sửng Sốt) with your tour guide, a truly awesome and amazing cave to experience. Admire more views of Halong Bay such as Fighting Cocks Island (Symbol of Halong Bay), Incense Burner and Stone Dogs Islands.
A cooking demonstration onboard shows you how to make authentic Vietnamese Spring rolls. You will learn about the recipes and techniques that create this popular dish of Vietnamese people.

Lunch is served on board while cruising towards the harbor.

Late in the morning, disembark and return journey to Hanoi. Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi in late afternoon.

Hanoi Departure

Say goodbye to our team at Noi Bai airport
