Day 01

Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Hanoi and enjoy a welcome dinner at a very good local restaurant!

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel to leave your luggage, then move to a restaurant for welcome dinner. The rest of day, you are free on your own.
Day 02

Hanoi - Sapa

Discover the highlights of Hanoi on a city tour and take a train to Sapa

Accommodation: Overnight on train to Lao Cai

Meals: Breakfast, lunch

In the morning, yur tour guide and driver picks you up at the hotel lobby. Start your tour with a visit of Ho Chi Minh Complex including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, House-on-Stilts, One Pillar pagoda. After that, visit the Temple of Literature - a temple to Confucius, this is also known as Vietnam’s first University dating back to 1070.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Continue the tour with a visit of the Museum of Ethnology, widely acknowledged as the best museum in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority peoples. As well as the comprehensive array of exhibits inside, there are also traditional tribal houses reconstructed within the ground. Go back to the center of Hanoi to visit Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake.

Tour takes you through the Old Quarter of Hanoi, also known as the 36 streets and guilds, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Originally each of the street’s names was related to the products being sold there. It’s a great place to explore on foot with numerous photo opportunities.

Dine before the transfer to Hanoi train station to board the overnight train to Sapa.
Day 03

Lao Cai - Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van village

Admire the beautiful landscape and observe the culture of ethnic people

Early morning, arrival in Lao Cai, Asia Top Travel's guide will welcome you at the exit platform, transfer you to Sapa for freshen up.

Breakfast at the hotel or at a local restaurant.
After breakfast, departure for a mini trekking journey. There are many photo opportunities on the way. Travel downhill to Muong Hoa valley. Begin the trekking on a fairly rocky road through Lao Chai village, a Black Hmong’s ethnic village. Then continue to Ta Van village of Giay ethnic minority people. The terrace fields are great for photographing. Visit local people’s house and schools en-route. Return to Sapa by car. Enjoy your time at leisure.
Day 04

Hanoi - Halong Bay

Enjoy spectacular views from your boat

In the morning,departure for Halong Bay through the scenic countryside. The world heritage site Halong Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights. Heading out of the town, embark on a Chinese junk style for an exploration of the legendary Halong Bay.

A seafood lunch will be served while cruising through the bay. The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches.

Explore the Surprising Sung Sot cave which reserves amazing stalactites and stalagmites.
Day 05

Halong bay - Hanoi - Hue

Say goodbye to Halong Bay, transfer to Hanoi airport for a flight to Hue

Meals: Breakfast, lunch

Wake up in the morning with the calming sound of the waves crashing on the nearby islands. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and relax. Sitting on the upper deck, admire the breathtaking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the crystalclear water of the bay. The quiet is almost eerie, you can hear birds singing, cicadas chirping ashore and the gentle lapping of the waves against our boat, the perfect soundtrack to accompany the fresh air and gentle breeze.

Explore Luon cave in the morning.

The boat starts cruising back while a brunch buffet is served on board.
Arrive at the harbor by noon, transfer to Hanoi airport for your flight to Hue.
Arrive in Hue city, meet your tour guide and transfer to your hotel. Check-in and relax. The rest of day you are free at leisure.
Day 06


Visit the highlights of Hue ancient town

Accommodation: Hotel in Hue

Meals: Breakfast, lunch

Start your guided city tour in the morning with a visit of Dong Ba market. Then, board on a dragon boat to cruise down the Perfume River to Thien Mu pagoda. Thien Mu pagoda is one of the best-loved pagodas in Vietnam and is considered by many to be the unofficial symbol of Hue. It is an active Buddhist monastery with its origins dating back to 1601. Visit the major sites including the Imperial Citadel with Forbidden Royal City like in Beijing.

Vegetarian lunch served by the nuns in a pagoda. This gives a fascinating insight into the life of religious people in the area.

After lunch, visit the tomb and monument of King Tu Duc located in a very beautiful area. This is an opportunity to learn more about Nguyen Kings and to enjoy the spectacular landscape. Back to your hotel late afternoon.
Day 07

Hoian - Cam Thanh Coconut Village - Tra Que Herb Village

Observe the local life in villages and try to be a cook in a local family

The tour starts by cycling along level ground to the Thu Bon River to visit a local fishing village. Ride along country lanes at a peaceful pace viewing local life and pause to see farmers toiling in their rice fields using centuries of farming practices. Peddle your way through palm forests, across bridges, fields of water buffalo... 

Take a short break in a local family at Cam Thanh Village before enjoying a 1.5 hours ride on Traditional Basket Boat (round boat) in the Water Coconut Palm Forest. Learn how to sail the basket boat and try to catch fishes and “purple crabs” in the Canal.

Continue to drive to Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village where a large variety of vegetables are produced for the local community. At the village, you will be shown the environmentally sustainable practices which the local villagers have used for centuries and is still being used extensively today.

Meet a local family and after a short, informative and fun cooking lesson, we sit down for a delicious lunch.

Head back to the hotel and free time.
Day 08

Hoi An - Danang - Nha Trang

Fly to your next destination: Nha Trang beach

Free morning until the transfer to Danang Airport for the flight to Nha Trang. Upon arrival Nha Trang, your tour guide and driver will escort you to the hotel for check-in. The rest of day you are free at leisure.
Day 09

Nha Trang

Enjoy a luxury day boat in Nha Trang

Accommodation: Hotel in Nha Trang

In the morning, transfer to Nha Trang Port to board the Junk. Start cruising through the spectacular landscape of Nha Trang Bay. Continue to cruise past the Tam, Mot, and Mun islands in Nha Trang Bay. Your next destination is Bai Cau in Dam Bay Lagoon, near the famous diving Mun Island site. Arrival at the Secret Beach in Bai Cau, you can either go snorkeling, swimming, fishing, walking, kayaking in either a normal or glass-bottomed kayak, or try a basket boat. Alternatively, just relax at our Mango Bar under the big tree, enjoying the stunning views of the bay.

Set lunch on board as the boat anchors near Hon Tam Island with its tranquil lagoon and fish farms.

After lunch, cruise back to Nha Trang Harbor passing Vung Ngan floating village and Vinpearl Island and Tri Nguyen Aquarium, catching a glimpse of the inhabited Mieu Island. The next destination of this afternoon is Mieu Island for a walking tour to visit the local fishing villages. Learn about the way of life away from the mainland and interact with the friendly locals while learning a little about the daily lives of the villagers. Spend a few minutes exploring the beautiful landscape by basket boat as you head over to fish farms. Back on the junk, cruise to the harbor and transfer to your hotel.



Day 10

Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City

Say goodbye to Nha Trang and head to Ho Chi Minh

In the morning, transfer to Cam Ranh airport to take the flight to Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam's largest city has an exciting buzz as millions of people rush around on their daily business.
Upon arrival at Ho Chi Minh city, Asia Top Travel's tour guide will personally welcome you at the airport. Start your tour by visiting the highlights of Ho Chi Minh city. Begin the exploration of Ho Chi Minh city, including China town markets & Heavenly Lady Temple (Thien Hau Pagoda) - dedicated to the goddess of the Sea. Continue your tour to the War Remnants Museum (Museum of American War Crimes). This is a poignant display the futility of war. Close to the museum, go to visit the Central Post Office that is some of the best examples of French colonial architecture. Next, have a look on Tan Dinh church – a special church with Pink color in Ho Chi Minh city. Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a church built during the French colonial period in the 1880s when Vietnam was part of French Indochina. On the way back to the hotel, stop at Tao Dan park to enjoy a cup of coffee with condensed milk and ice (not included).
Day 11

Ho Chi Minh - Ben Tre Boat Trip - Ho Chi Minh

Enjoy a Mekong delta day trip

In the morning, meet your tour guide in your hotel lobby and transfer through Mekong Delta to Ben Tre. The boat sails along the Ham Luong river (a branch of the Mekong) and stops at various local workplaces to give you a picture of how the local economy works, including a brickworks, where bricks are still painstakingly made by hand; a coconut processing workshop, where you can sample fresh coconut and see how every single part of this versatile nut is turned into food and other products; and a mat weaving house, where straw mats are woven using a hand loom – you can even have a go at weaving yourself! The boat will then stop at a quiet village where you can have a short walk to experience real Delta village life, before boarding your xe loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) and traveling into the forest where you can visit fruit orchards.

Lunch at a riverside restaurant, featuring such local specialties as elephant-ear fish and river shrimp, washed down with some cold drinks or beers.

It’s time to board on a sampan for a relaxing trip along narrow canals. Take the boat back to the Pier and go ahead to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
