Day 01

Hanoi Arrival

Day 02

Hanoi

Visit all the highlights of Hanoi on a guided tour

Today, we will visit Hanoi with Ho Chi Minh Complex that completed in 1975. The complex includes the Presidential Palace, House-on-Stilts, and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. After that we will visit the Temple of Literature that was originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam’s first University dating back to 1070. The temple highlights the importance that Vietnamese society place then and now on education. 
Have lunch at a nice restaurant.
After lunch, we continue our trip to visit Museum of Ethnology: This museum is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority peoples. As well as the comprehensive array of exhibits inside, there are also traditional tribal houses reconstructed within the ground. Then, we back to the center of Hanoi to visit Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake: The Ngoc Son temple is set on a tiny island on the Hoan KiemLake, its history dating back to the 13th century. The temple is reached by crossing the The Huc Bridge which literally means the ‘Place Touched by Morning Sunbeams’. The Hoan Kiem Lake is the local point of the city and the source of many legends. 45 minutes Cyclo Tour through the Old Quarter: Also known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Originally each of the 36 s names’ was related to the products being sold there. It’s a great place to explore on foot with numerous photo opportunities.
Before back to your hotel, we will enjoy The water puppet show at Thang Long theatre.
 
Day 03

Hanoi - Hoa Lu - Trang An

Have a full day trip to Ninh Binh province

Asia Top Travel's tour expert picks you up at your hotel and travel to Hoa Lu. Along the way, stop-over for photos and refreshment while enjoying rural stunning scenery. Arrive in Hoa Lu which is the former capital of Vietnam (968 – 1009) under Dinh and Le dynasties. Visit Dinh temple, Le temples and surroundings. 
 
Lunch at a local restaurant.
 
After lunch, take an amazing boat trip to visit Trang An grottoes which is a gathering of 31 valleys, 50 cross-water caves, and home to 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna, many of them in the Red Book of Vietnam. While rowing through Trang An grotto in the quiet, fresh air of the highlands, with only the sound of birds and the oars stirring the clear water and surrounded by magnificent forested mountains upon which graze white goats, visitors enjoy a heaven on earth. 

Leave Trang An and drive back to Hanoi.
Day 04

Hanoi - Halong Bay

Enjoy an overnight cruise trip on Halong Bay

In the morning, pick-up at your hotel and drive to Halong Bay.
Embark on the boat around noon.

A delicious set menu lunch is served in the restaurant while you can enjoy the amazing scenery. Cruise amongst the hundreds of islands. You will pass by Duck and Thumb islets to go to Bright cave area – (the border between Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay)

After 2.5 hours cruising, the boat will stop in Bright’s cave area for kayaking (A bamboo boat will be arranged for the elderly or people who cannot kayak) to visit the small cave and beautiful lagoons. Kayaking provides the opportunity to explore the beautiful lagoons and get closer to the island.
 
As the sun sets over the bay, head back to your cruise and relax.
 
Dinner of local seafood. After dinner you may choose to enjoy drinks from the bar or top deck or experience squid fishing before retiring.
Day 05

Halong Bay - Hanoi

Visit the impressive Cave of Halong Bay – Surprising Cave (Sửng Sốt) with your tour guide, a truly awesome and amazing cave to experience. Experience more views of Halong Bay such as Fighting Cocks Island (Symbol of Halong Bay), Incense Burner and Stone Dogs Islands.
 
A cooking demonstration onboard shows you how to make authentic Vietnamese Spring rolls. You will learn about the recipes and techniques that create this popular dish of Vietnamese people.
 
Lunch is served on board while cruising towards the harbor.
 
Disembark late morning and depart for your return journey to Hanoi by car. 
Day 06

Hanoi - Hue

Flying to an ancient romantic city of Vietnam: Hue

Take a morning flight to Hue, an ancient romantic city, famous for its magnificent architecture including the Citadel, palaces, pagodas and royal tombs built under the 13 emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty against a poetic background of greenery on the banks of the Perfume River. Hue was recognized as the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1993. Hue has represented the cultural and spiritual centre of Vietnam since ancient times. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to hotel in Hue. 

The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
 
Day 07

Hue City Tour

Visit all the highlights of Hue City on a guided tour

In the morning, take a boat trip along the poetic Perfume River. Visit Thien Mu pagoda, a special cultural & historical site where still preserves a legendary tale about the Heaven Fairy Lady since Nguyen Dynasty. 
 
Head to Hue Citadel by car. Walk around and take a look into the special feudal relics of immense architectural and cultural values. Visit the major sites including the Imperial Citadel with Forbidden Royal City. 
 
Lunch will be served by the nuns in a pagoda for fascinating insight into the life of religious people in the area. 
 
Visit the tomb & monument of King Tu Duc located in a very beautiful area. This is an opportunity to learn more about Nguyen Kings and to enjoy the spectacular landscape. Discover Dong Ba market and the local products.
Day 08

Hue - Hoi An- Thanh Ha Pottery Village

In the morning, head to Hoi An through the mighty Hai Van Pass with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and famous Lang Co fishing village.
 
Enjoy a half-day walking tour of Hoi An through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200 year old Tan Ky ancestral house and the Japanese Bridge. Hoi An developed most of its uniquely eclectic townscape between the 16th and 19th centuries. During most of this time Hoi An was a thriving international commercial port for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab merchants. Over the years, many elements of these diverse architectural styles blended harmoniously with indigenous Vietnam features. Hoi An was relatively untouched by the Vietnam War, so the old world charm is stil in.
 
After lunch in a local restaurant, you will enjoy a short boat ride to Thanh Ha pottery village which has a long historical legacy and it used to play an important role in the  development of Hoi An ancient town. It’s better to head straight to the narrow lanes behind the village tourist park to find the families busy churning out pots, sculptures, roof tiles and cute handcrafted whistles shaped like animals.
Day 09

Hoi An - Cam Thanh Coconut village - Tra Que Vegetable village

A Day for visiting countryside villages

Ride along country lanes on a bicycle at a peaceful pace viewing local life and pausing to see farmers toiling in their rice fields using centuries of farming practices. Peddle your way through palm forests, across bridges and fields of water buffalo.
 
Meet a local family at Cam Thanh Village before enjoying 1.5 hours ride on Traditional Basket Boat (round boat) in the Water Coconut Palm Forest. Learn how to sail the basket boat and try to catch fishes and “purple crabs” in the Canal.
 
Continue to drive to Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village where a large variety of vegetable are produced for the local community. At the village, you will be shown the environmentally sustainable practices which the local villagers have used for centuries and is still being used extensively today.
 
Meet a local family and after a short, informative and fun cooking lesson, sit down for a delicious lunch.
 
Back to Hoi An in the afternoon and be free at your leisure.
 
Day 10

A leisure day in Hoi An

The day is left free at your leisure for waking around this charming ancient town.

Custom tailoring is a huge industry in Hoian. Hoian is home to more than 400 tailoring shops and thousands of tailors who are not only talented at making clothes but are skilled in making shoes and handbags as well. If you are interested in getting custom made items, try to find a shop as early as possible during your visit.
Let’s spend your day to visit local market and do shopping in this interesting place.
Day 11

Hoi An - Danang – Ho Chi Minh City

In the afternoon, your driver will escort you to Danang airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh city. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, you will be transferred to hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
 
Day 12

Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi Tunnels

Departure for a drive through pleasant countryside before arriving at Cu Chi. 

Spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels where the Vietnamese could escape bombings, hide from enemy, and mount surprise attacks. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. 
 
After a lunch in Cu Chi, head back to Saigon.
 
Start your half day city tour by looking at the Notre Dame Cathedral built between 1877 and 1883. This is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture. Nearby is the Old Post Office that is another example of French colonial architecture and is also the country’s largest post office.  Move on to see the Reunification Palace, one of the most important buildings in the city. Here on April 30th 1975 the ‘American War’ officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. After that, we continue to visit War Remnants Museum (American War Crimes), a poignant display of the futility of war. 
 
Depending on the timing, have a look on a wide selection of goods at Ben Thanh Market.
Day 13

Ho Chi Minh - Ben Tre - Mekong Delta - Evening flight to Siem Reap

Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and bring you to the “Capital of Coconut" – Ben Tre.

On arrival in Hùng vương Pier (Bến Tre town) take a boat on Bến Tre river – one tributary of Mekong River and observe lively activities along the river as fishing, water transfering, etc. Stop at a brickwork to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style by printing and baking. Visit a coconut processing workshop located along Cái sơn canal. Turn on natural scissors creeks where they look smaller and smaller to go to Nhơn Thạnh village. Take a walk to a family workshop making sleepmats and enjoy some fruits. Take a tuk tuk or ride on shady paths, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on realy life and find out about tropical culture from Peasants.
 
Lunch at a local restaurant.
 
In the afternoonm, take a rowing-boat along water palm creek and boat along Cái Cối creek back to Hùng Vương Pier. Transfer to Ho Chi Minh city for the evening flight to Siem Reap.
Upon arrival Siem Reap, you will be escorted to hotel for check in. Dinner is on your own account.
Day 14

Angkor Temple Tour

In the morning, start your sightseeing tour of Angkor with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. Visit the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. Stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. The jungle covering the temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight to see. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. 
 
Admire a magical sunset at Bakheng Hill.
Day 15

Siem Reap - Banteay Srei - Preah Khan - Neak Pean - Som

After a breakfast at the hotel, head out of town on a newly paved road to the intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei. Along the way stop at the Preah Dark village and visit the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends. Then continue the grand circuit with Preah Khan, Neak Pean and Ta Som.
Day 16

Siem Reap - Tonle Sap Lake - Luang Prabang

Day 17

Luang Prabang City Tour - Kuang Sy waterfall

After breakfast, Meet your guide and we visit National museum,  we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai; visit Wat Xieng Thong, Visit Wat Sene, Visit Wat Xieng Muan. Lunch is on your own cost. 
Afternoon, We drive out of town 30KM to the beautiful Kuang Sii Fall, where you can swim, relax, soft trek to the top of the fall. On return short stop at Black Hmong Village, where hill tribe hand-made handicraft as souvenirs for visitors pass by. Arrive in the town, we then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore Street Night Market, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

After breakfast, Meet your guide and we enjoy a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. A leisurely morning drive true the bustling metropolis of Bangkok and the scenic country side going towards the south for about few kilometers, you will come to DamnoenSaduak, where is colorful floating market in Thailand were you can find all kinds of farm product sold in their colorful flat bottom boats.
 
In the afternoon, visit Royal Grand Palace. This is the perfect introduction to Thailand, the Buddhist faith, regal splendor and traditional, though no longer the royal residence. It remains the symbol of the kingdom. You'll visit the key attractions around The Grand Palace including Wat Phra Kaew Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Coronation Throne Hall, Royal Reception Hall, Royal Funeral Hall, the Golden Chedi and the Royal Pantheon.
Day 21

Bangkok - Ayutthaya

Set off your day with a drive to Ayutthaya and visit the highlights of the city

After breakfast, drive to Ayutthaya. The first place you visit is Bang Pa In Summer Palace, one of the most beautiful Summer Palace of Thailand then follow by Wat Phra Si Sanphet, one of the most photographed temples in Ayuthaya. Then Wat Phra Mahathat, Wat Mongkhon Bophit, and Wat Ratburana, they are all beautiful. Follow this by a visit of Wat Yai Chaimongkhol where you have a chance to sacred one of the biggest Reclining Buddha Image as well as the ruins of the old Royal Grand Palace & Temples. Then transfer back to Bangkok. The rest of the day is free at leisure.
