Day 01

Luang Prabang Arrival

 Welcome at the airport and transfer to your hotel for check in. The room is at your disposal from 14.00 on.

Day 02

Luang Prabang City Tour Biking

Biking in Luang Prabang

 From the hotel, you will bike to visit the morning Phosi Market is by far the biggest market in Luang Prabang. Three quarters of it is covered, there are several hundred merchants of all kinds proposing a large variety of products. You can find vegetable gardeners as well as small stalls selling clothes (always in the Chinese style), merchants for health products, dried buffalo skin, local tea, school materials, hardware, etc.
Afterwards, we will visit the ancient town’s most highlighted sites, including:
Vat Xieng Thong or Temple of the Royal City- one of the most important of Lao monasteries and remains a significant monument to the spirit of religion, royalty and traditional art.
Vat Senna - literally means "Temple of a 100 000 treasures" also one of the most beautiful temples of Luang Prabang 
Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre (closed on Monday) located in a historical building preserved by UNESCO. The exhibition here consists of traditional clothing, religious artifacts and daily working tools of Lao minorities that will help you understand more about their lifestyle and traditions.
In the afternoon, pay a visit to the Royal Palace which is now the National Museum built in 1904 during the French colonial era for King Sisavang Vong and his family. In 1975, communist government overthrew the monarchy and the palace was then converted into a national museum. The museum is an ideal place for visitors to learn more about Lao history and culture.
Then, it’s time for sunset moment on the Phousi Mountain where you also can have a nice panorama of the city. Leaving here, on the way back to hotel, we will stop to visit the H’mong Night Market where you can find a lot of souvenirs in traditional style of Laos.

Day 03

Pak Ou Cave - Village - Kuang Si Waterfall

A day spent for nature and village

 After breakfast, transfer to the pier and take a long-tailed boat for an upstream cruise. During the cruise, you will be treated a stunning of nature along the river. From the distance you can see limestone cliffs where the hidden Pak Ou Caves are located. The cave is home
to thousands of Buddha statues which make the region a revered one. Take your time to explore numerous images hidden in the cave. 
Then, make your way back to the city. En-route, stop to visit Ban Xang Hai village to learn more about the making process of the traditional Lao rice whisky. It is a great chance to taste its unique flavor. Move onto Ban Xang Khong village- famous for its wood paper and Lao silk weaving.
Afterwards, we head to Kuang Si Waterfalls a stunning turquoise waterfall. On the way, you will pass through rice fields and beautiful small villages dotted along country road. Make a stop at some of the villages before relaxing at the waterfall. Take a fresh swim to refresh yourself in many basins if weather permits.

Day 04

Luang Prabang - Fly to Vientiane

 Free at your leisure to discover the city until being transferred to the airport to take your domestic flight to Vientiane (without tour guide). 
 
Once arrival in Vientiane, you will be warmly welcomed to transfer to the hotel to check in. The balance of the day is at your leisure. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 05

Vientiane City Tour - Buddha Park

Enjoy a full day sightseeing in Vientiane

 Today, you have plenty of time to explore the hidden charm of Vientiane with various historic sites including Vat Phra Keo - one of the most impressive and interesting temples in Vientiane, Vat Sisaket - feature beautiful architecture and layout; Pha That Louang - the most important Laotian religious and Patuxay - the most prominent landmark in the city which offers an excellent panoramic view of the city. 
In the afternoon, make your way to the famous Buddha Park - home to hundreds of Buddha statues and an enormous Buddha image which is 40m in length. Take your time to explore its unique statues with different size and shapes of human, Godheads and animals.
Transfer back to your hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 
 
Day 06

Vientiane - Pakse Half day tour

 This morning, you wil be transferred to the airport to take your domestic flight to Pakse (without tour guide). 
Pakse (Pakxe) is the capital city of Champasak province of Southern Laos, and the 2nd most populous in the country, serving as a major transport and commerce hub for southern Laos, linking to Bolaven Plateau, Wat Phou, Si Phan Don (4,000 Islands), the Xe Pian National Protected Area, or Lao Ngam and Tad Lo in neighboring Salavan province. Pakse is an ideal base with its relaxing atmosphere on the Mekong and Sedone Rivers, friendly locals, ubiquitous riverside restaurants and bars, and numerous massage clinics. 
Welcome on arrival in Pakse and transfer to Vat Phou Temple. Recorded on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Wat Phou is a stunning pre-angkorian temple built upon three levels. 
Next we will visit Golden Buddha Temple on the top of a hill to admire a magnificent statue of Buddha looking down the Mekong River. From here, the panoramic view of Pakse is just amazing. You can also take photo with lots of golden images of Buddha before leaving.

Day 07

Day Trip to Bolaven

 This morning, we will drive to Bolaven Plateu which is green all year round and cooler than the rest of Laos and Thailand. Surrounding the plateau there are a number of protected national parks, dramatic waterfalls, remote hill tribes, dense jungle and a taste of some of the world's best coffee beans.
It’s probably best known for being home to some of Southeast Asia's most spectacular waterfalls including Tad Yeuang, Tad Phasoum and Tad Fan. The deeply fall in the colorful forest of Phousavan. These beautiful magnificent waterfalls would be ideal places for photos. Back to Pakse. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 
 
Day 08

Pakse - 4000 Islands

Explore 4000 islands

 Check out of the hotel and we will spend time to visit Khone Papheng - one of the most significant attractions of the 4000 islands. This 10 kilometer waterfall becomes the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia and considered the jewel of Laos.
In the afternoon, you have some time to explore Ou Mong Ruins before driving to Nakasong and enjoy a boat trip along Mekong River to the most bustling and hustling island of Si Phan Done area – Done Det, on the way you can see children of Mekong playing under water or the fishermen in their daily lives. 
The balance of the day will be free on your own. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 09

4000 islands - Pakse

Today is devoted to explore the Don Det and Don Khone, two smaller islands which are considered the heaven of backpacker. Enjoy a boat trip along Mekong River, on the way you can see children of Mekong playing under water or the fishermen in their daily lives.
Take a tuk tuk to visit these two islands, which are linked by a bridge. Visit Ban Khone fishing village - where you could explore the ruins of French railway tracks and the beautiful Liphi Waterfall. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere in the islands and take awesome photos of the local life and natural beauty. 
In the afternoon, we embark the motor boat again to visit Cambodian border where the famous Irrawaddy dolphins live. If you are lucky, you can see them playing and swim on the river. 
Transfer back your hotel in Pakse with remainder of day free at leisure. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 10

Pakse Departure
