Day 01

Hanoi Arrival

Set off your trip in Hanoi Capital

Upon arriving in Hanoi, your tour guide will personally meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel.

The rest of the day is time at leisure. 
Day 02

Hanoi City Tour

In the morning, visit Ho Chi Minh Complex including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, House-on-Stilts, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. After that visit the Temple of Literature, originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam’s first University dating back to 1070. The temple highlights the importance that Vietnamese society place then and now on education. 

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Continue your guided tour with a visit of the Museum of Ethnology. This museum is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority peoples. As well as the comprehensive array of exhibits inside, there are also traditional tribal houses reconstructed within the ground. 

Go back to the center of Hanoi to visit Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. The Ngoc Son temple is set on a tiny island on the Hoan Kiem Lake, its history dating back to the 13th century. The temple is reached by crossing the The Huc Bridge which literally means the ‘Place Touched by Morning Sunbeams’. Hoan Kiem Lake is the local point of the city and the source of many legends. 

A 45 minutes Cyclo tour 
takes you through the Old Quarter. Also known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Originally each of the 36 s names’ was related to the products being sold there. It’s a great place to explore on foot with numerous photo opportunities. 

Attend to a traditional water puppet show then transfer back to your hotel. 
 
Day 03

Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Trang An

Visit an ancient capital of Vietnam and Trang An, A World Heritage Site

Asia Top Travel tour expert picks you up at your hotel and drives you to Hoa Lu. Along the way, photo stops and refreshment while enjoying a rural stunning scenery.

Arrival in Hoa Lu, the former capital of Vietnam (968 – 1009) under Dinh and Le dynasties, visit Dinh temple, Le temples and surroundings.

Have a lunch at a local restaurant.
 
Take a amazing boat trip to visit Trang An grottoes which is a gathering of 31 valleys, 50 cross-water caves, and home to 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna, many of them in the Red Book of Vietnam. While rowing through Trang An grotto in the quiet, fresh air of the highlands, with only the sound of birds and the oars stirring the clear water and surrounded by magnificent forested mountains upon which graze white goats, visitors enjoy a heaven on earth.
 
Leave Trang An and return to Hanoi.
Day 04

Hanoi – Bai Tu Long Bay

Travel from Hanoi to Halong bay by car and embark on a junk

In the morning, pick up at your hotel and embark on a traditional junk at Hon Gai harbor.
 
Have a lunch while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long bay and admire the fascinating formations on the way.

Explore the well-hidden Thien Canh Son cave.
Relax on a white sandy beach at Hon Co island, or swim, or kayak.

Return to the junk before dinner on board.
Day 05

Bai Tu Long Bay – Hanoi - fly to Hue

Cave visiting in Halong Bay, head back to Hanoi and fly to Hue

Enjoy the morning view of Bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee and a breakfast in the fresh air.

Visit Vung Vieng fishing village on a traditional row-boat.

Start cruising towards the harbor while an A la carte lunch is served.
 
Your driver takes you back to Hanoi.

You are transfered to the airport for your flight  to Hue.  Meet the guide and driver at the airport then transfer to your hotel for checking in.
Day 06

We take a boat trip to Thien Mu pagoda also known as heavenly lady pagoda, one of the best loved architectural pagodas in Vietnam considered by many as the unofficial symbol of Hue. It is an active Buddhist monastery with its origins dating back to 1601.
 
Start at the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. The ancient citadel reflects the pomp and ceremony of the dynastic rulers as well as the scars of many years of turmoil, both ancient and modern (the Royal Citadel was badly damaged in the latter stages of the war) but retains a sense of grace and majesty even today.
 
Also visit King Tu Duc mausoleum, which is a picturesque complex including his tomb and palace that emperor Tu Duc ordered the construction by himself when he was still alive.
 
Lunch is served at local restaurant.
 
Next is Minh Mang tomb. Located 12 kilometers outside of Hue, the Tomb of Minh Mang honors the late Nguyen Dynasty emperor. Beautifully preserved gardens and flower-lined walkways make this picturesque tomb’s relatively high entrance fee worth the cost of admission. Tomb of Minh Mang is part of a large complex that sits on the west bank of the Perfume River and includes a summer home and lake. Photographers will love the scenic views and lush landscapes, while meditative sorts will appreciate the well-kept grounds and tranquil setting.
 
Before heading back to your hotel take time to stroll around Dong Ba Market with our guide.  The market is another of the must see sites in Hue, the stalls are teeming with color and a great place to catch a glimpse of everyday life.
Day 07

Hue – Danang – Hoi An City Tour

Visit Hoian ancient town and Thanh Ha pottery village

In the morning, leave Hue for Hoi An through the Hai Van Pass for a magnificent view of the East Sea. Stop at Lang Co to have a break. Pass by Da Nang city - the 4th large city of Viet Nam - to visit Marble Mountains. Stop en-route at a beach. 

Upon arrival in Hoi An, enjoy a walking tour around this enchanting port town. Follow the narrow lanes lined with centuries-old houses influenced by Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures, and visit its numerous places of interest including the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls and the local market. Around the town you will see numerous art galleries and tailor shops, and you can even get some tailor-made clothes if you like.

Go back to your hotel. Check in hotel. Free time on your own.
Day 08

Hoi An – Cam Thanh Coconut village – Tra Que vegetable village

Put yourself in the shoes of a farmer and enjoy a cooking class in a village

Ride along country lanes on a bicycle at a peaceful pace viewing local life and pausing to see farmers toiling in their rice fields using centuries of farming practices. Peddle your way through palm forests, across bridges and fields of water buffalo.
Meet a local family at Cam Thanh Village before enjoying 1.5 hours ride on Traditional Basket Boat (round boat) in the Water Coconut Palm Forest. Learn how to sail the basket boat and try to catch fishes and “purple crabs” in the Canal.
Continue to drive to Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village where a large variety of vegetable are produced for the local community. At the village, you will be shown the environmentally sustainable practices which the local villagers have used for centuries and is still being used extensively today.
Meet a local family and after a short, informative and fun cooking lesson, sit down for a delicious lunch.
Back to Hoi An hotel.

Day 09

Hoi An – Danang – Ho Chi Minh

In the afternoon, our driver will escort you to Danang airport for a short flight to Ho Chi minh city.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to hotel for check in. 
Day 10

Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi tunnels – City tour

In the morning, meet Asia Top Travel's tour guide at your hotel lobby and depart for driving through the pleasant countryside before arriving at Cu Chi
Explore the maze of tunnels where the Vietnamese could escape from bombings, hide from enemy, and mount surprise attacks.

Head back to Ho Chi Minh City and take half day city tour. Start by looking at the Old Post Office a good example of French colonial architecture and is also the country’s largest post office. Move on to see the Reunification Palace. This is one of the most important buildings in the city. Here on April 30th 1975 the ‘American War’ officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. Continue to the War Remnants Museum (Museum of American War Crimes), is a poignant display about of the futility of war.
Day 11

Ho Chi Minh – Ben Tre – Siem Reap

Enjoy the peaceful day in Mekong delta before leaving Vietnam

Your guide & driver will pick you up from your hotel and bring you to the “Capital of Coconut" – Ben Tre.
On arrival in Hùng vương Pier (Bến Tre town) take a boat on Bến Tre river – one tributarie of the Mekong River and observe lively activities along the river as fishing, water transfering, etc. Stop at a brickwork to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style by printing and baking. Visit a coconut processing workshop located along Cái sơn canal. Turn on natural scissors creeks where they look smaller and smaller to go to Nhơn Thạnh village. Take a walk to a family workshop making sleepmats and enjoy some fruits. Take a tuk tuk or ride on shady paths, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on realy life and find out  about tropical culture from Peasants.

In the afternoon, take a rowing-boat along water palm creek and boat along Cái Cối creek back to Hùng Vương Pier.

Transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for the evening flight to Siem Reap.
Upon arrival Siem Reap, you will be escosted to hotel for check-in.
Day 12

Angkor Temples Tour

Discovery of the architecture and history of Angkor

Start your sightseeing tour of Angkor area by exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. Visit the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. Stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple and the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight.

Depending on the timing, walk up to Phnom Bakheng Hill for a view of the spectacular sunset over these sandstone monuments.
Day 13

Banteay Srei – Tonle Sap Lake

Heading out of town, make your way to the intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei. Along the way stop-over at the Preah Dark village and visit of the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends.

In the afternoon, visit of the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. Take a boat trip in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, the "Great Lake" of Cambodia. Spend the rest of day visiting the "Chantiers Ecoles - Les Artisans d'Angkor" which provides training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting.
Day 14
