Day 01

Hanoi Arrival

Pick up at the airport and transfer to your hotel

Day 02

Hanoi city tour full day

Visit the highlights of the city on a guided tour

08:30: Today, we will visit Ho Chi Minh Complex that includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, House-on-Stilts, and One Pillar pagoda. After that we will visit the Temple of Literature that was originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam’s first University dating back to 1070. The temple highlights the importance that Vietnamese society place then and now on education. Have lunch at a nice restaurant.

After lunch, we continue our trip to visit Museum of Ethnology: This museum is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority peoples. As well as the comprehensive array of exhibits inside, there are also traditional tribal houses reconstructed within the ground.
Then, we back to the center of Hanoi to visit Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake: The Ngoc Son Temple is set on a tiny island on the Hoan Kiem Lake, its history dating back to the 13th century. The temple is reached by crossing the The Huc Bridge which literally means the ‘Place Touched by Morning Sunbeams’.
Hoan Kiem Lake is the local point of the city and the source of many legends.
45 minutes Cyclo through the Old Quarter: Also known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Originally each of the 36 s names’ was related to the products being sold there. It’s a great place to explore on foot with numerous photo opportunities.
Enjoy a water puppet show then transfer you back to your hotel around 17:00.
 
Remark: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays; Museum of Ethnology is closed on Mondays. Other places will be recommended.
Day 03

Hanoi – Ha Long

Transfer to Halong Bay. Overnight on cruise

08:30 Pick up at your hotel in Ha Noi by private vehicle. After that we leave Hanoi to reach Halong Bay.

12:00 – 12:30: At Tuan Chau International Marina, a tender boat will take you to the cruise. A refreshing welcome drink is served and you can check into your cabin.

13:00: When you are putting all of your stuffs into your cabin, our boat starts gliding out to the centre of the World Heritage Site. Your lunch, at the boat’s restaurant, is would be served with fresh local seafood, but vegetable menu is always available at your request. From the marina area, our cruiser passes by Dog Head and Swan Islands, Ba Hang Floating villages (with floating houses), Incense Burner then Thumb Islands before reaching to Luon cave area for kayaking.

14:30 – 15:00: We have time to gear up for one hour kayaking around Luon cave area .Our guide will show you some basic safety guidelines and techniques to paddle before helping you to sit on our brand new sit-on-top kayaks. After that our boat will help you visit the Titop Island one hour for swimming, sun-bathing or getting a panoramic view on island peak.

17:00: As the sun sets over the bay, we head back to our cruise and relax. Coffee, tea and fruits will be available on the sundeck or you can order your favorite drink while our boat cruises to the night’s anchorage area.

19:00: Dinner will be served with local seafood. After dinner you may choose to enjoy drinks from the bar or top deck or experience squid fishing before getting to bed.

Day 04

Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hue

Transfer to Hanoi airport, fly to Hue city

07:00 – 07:45: Enjoy the morning view of the beautiful landscape with a cup of coffee or tea. Have breakfast in the fresh air.
08:00 – 09:00: You will visit the impressive Cave of Halong Bay – Surprising Cave (Sửng Sốt) with your tour guide, a truly awesome and amazing cave to experience.
10:00: Check out of your cabin and settle your bill as our boat begins cruising back to the harbor. Experience more views of Halong Bay such as Fighting Cocks Island (Symbol of Halong Bay), Incense Burner and Stone Dogs Islands.
10:20: A cooking demonstration onboard shows you how to make authentic Vietnamese Spring rolls. You will learn about the recipes and techniques that create this popular dish of Vietnamese people.
10:45: Lunch is served on board during cruising towards the harbor.
11:20: Depart the cruise and travel by tender boat back to Tuan Chau International Marina. Transfer you back Hanoi then take a flight to Hue.
Upon arrival, our tour guide and driver will transfer you to hotel in Hue.
Day 05

Hue city tour full day

08:00: Asia Top Travel tour expert will pick you up and depart from your hotel in Hue.
This morning, we take a boat trip along poetic Perfume River to reach the ancient Thien Mu pagoda, a special cultural - historical site where still preserves a legendary tale about the Heaven Fairy Lady since Nguyen Dynasty.
Then, we visit Hue Citadel. Here you will walk around and take a look into the special feudal relics of immense architectural and cultural values.
 
Have lunch at a local restaurant.
 
14:00: We visit the tomb and monument of King Tu Duc which is located in a very beautiful area. This is an opportunity to learn more about Nguyen Kings and to enjoy the spectacular landscape.
 
Optional (If you are not tired and the weather is good):
Then we visit Conical hat village: To see and learn how the locals make the conical hat (non la). (Non la- traditional indispensable accessory expressing the hidden charm and simplicity of women).
Conclude your day at Incense stick making village: Observe how locals make sandalwood and cinnamon incense.
 
17:00: Back to your hotel for relaxing. Overnight in Hue.
Day 06

Hue - Da Nang - Marble Mountain - Cham museum - Hoi An

Transfer to Hoi An, visit the highlights of the ancient town on a guided tour

08:00: drive over the mighty Hai Van pass for an over view of the Pacific Ocean and famous Long Co fishing village. On the way, visit the Marble Mountain and Marble stone carving workshop at Ngu Hanh Son handicraft village then visit to the fascinating Cham Museum – museum of ancient Champa kingdom’s sculptures and artifacts. Then heading to Hoi An town for check-in to your hotel.
 
Located on the north bank of the Thu Bon river, the historic Hoi An was one of South East Asia's major international ports and today it still retains that special old-world feel.
A walking tour through the Hoi An Old Quarter gives you a view of the town's landmarks: Japanese Covered Bridge, ancient Assembly Hall, Phuc Kien Temple.

Day 07

Hoi An - Rural Villages

Enjoy a tour in Cam Thanh and Tra Que village

8:00 Meet your local guide at the hotel lobby to begin an exciting halfday tour discovering rural Hoian. A short bicycle competency test will be given. For those uncomfortable with a pushbike, then other methods of transport can be arranged. The tour starts by cycling along level ground to the Thu Bon River to visit a local fishing village. Ride along country lanes at a peaceful pace viewing local life and pause to see farmers toiling in their rice fields using centuries of farming practices. Peddle your way through palm forests, across bridges, fields of water buffalo.... Biking along country lanes at a peaceful pace viewing local life and pause to see farmers.

9:00 Take a short break in a local family at Cam Thanh Village before enjoying 1.5 hours ride on traditional Basket Boat (round boat) in the Water Coconut Palm Forest. Learn how to sail the basket boat and spend your time to catch fishes and “purple crabs” in the Canal.
 
10:30 Continue to drive to Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village where a large variety of vegetable are produced for the local community. At the village, you will be shown the environmentally sustainable practices which the local villagers have used for centuries and is still being used extensively today.
 
11:30 Visit a local family and after a short, informative and fun cooking lesson, you enjoy a delicious lunch.
 
13:00: After the lunch, you cycle back to your hotel. The rest of day is your free time at leisure.

Biking from the town to Cam Thanh village (about 5 km). From Cam Thanh to Tra Que village (about 7 km). We will arrange a vehicle in case you are tired and do not want to ride a bike from Cam Thanh to Tra Que village.
Day 08

Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City

Fly to Ho Chi Minh City

You are free at your leisure till the transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh.

Upon arriving in Tan Son Nhat airport, our driver and tour guide will meet and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
Day 09

Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh City tour

Visit Cu Chi tunnels and the highlights of Ho Chi Minh

08:00: Meet Asia Top Travel's tour guide at your hotel lobby and depart for a drive through the pleasant countryside before arriving at Cu Chi tunnels. Explore the tunnels where the Vietnamese could escape bombings, hide from enemy, and mount surprise attacks. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers.
 
After lunch at a local restaurant, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh and you will take a half day city tour. Start by looking at the Notre Dame Cathedral built between 1877 and 1883. This is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture. Nearby is the Old Post Office, another example of French colonial architecture and also is the country’s largest post office. Then, Move on to see the Reunification Palace. This is one of the most important buildings in the city. Here on April 30th 1975 the ‘American War’ officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. After that, continue to visit of the War Remnants Museum (Museum of American War Crimes), this is a poignant display of the futility of war. Before finishing the tour, depending on the timing, there is a wide selection of goods at Ben Thanh Market to see.

Day 10

Ho Chi Minh - My Tho - Ben Tre - Can Tho

Enjoy a tour in Mekong delta

08:00: Our tour guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city with a drive to My Tho, the capital of Tien Giang Province 72 km from Ho Chi Minh City (Former Saigon). 
Then take a boat trip round 4 beautiful islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. The boat brings you through Vam Xep canal where you will discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong delta rural life.

Stops on the way can be made upon request for particular visits or photos making. Visit traditional house at Quoi An village (all make from coconut). See coconut collection set and how locals make handicrafts from trunk and shell, guests can see that they waste nothing, coconut even useful from wedding to funeral.
Enjoy seasonal fruit and listening to traditional music. Take a horse cart on village path and stop at Ben Truc orchard, taste honey with tea or Mekong whisky (they have a funny rule for guests to get in). Also, we will visit coconut candy mill (special product of Ben Tre province). Enjoy a lunch at local restaurant. Then we will take small boat through Vam Chua small canal. 

Embark and head to Can Tho in the afternoon. On the way, you will visit Vinh Trang pagoda, a unique pagoda in Vietnam mixture of Vietnamese, Chinese and Cambodian architecture.

Upon arrival in Can Tho, check in your hotel around 17:00. Free at your leisure. Overnight in Can Tho.
 
Day 11

Cai Rang - Ho Chi Minh City - Fly to Phnom Penh

Visit Cai Rang floating market, then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh airport for a flight to Phnom Penh

06:00: Have breakfast at hotel.

07:00: Early boat trip to visit Cai Rang market, the biggest Floating Market in Mekong. This is great opportunity to see and taste different type of tropical fruits and vegetables.

On the way,visit the rice noodle maker and brick house, the boat tour ends at the local market where you can observe the local life with selling local products. 
Visit the temple nearby to see the local culture. After that, go to the big garden with a lot of kind fruits tree in this area. Continue with a visit of ancient house named Binh Thuy in Can Tho.

11:30: Have lunch at local restaurant. Transfer straight to Tan Son Nhat airport for a flight to Phnom Penh.
 
Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, the guide and driver will meet and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 12

Phnom Penh City tour

8:00: After your breakfast at hotel, depart to visit the Toul Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek-both grim reminders of Cambodia's bloody past under Pol Pot. It is almost inconceivable to confront the nature of true evil here in this gentle land, but the Buddhist memorial at Choeung Ek, commemorates the 1.7 million victims of the 1975-79 Pol Pot regime. This excursion may prove distressing for some. It is, however, an important piece of this country’s historical and cultural puzzle.

Afternoon, we continue to visit the National Museum, also called Musee des Beaux-Arts. A French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed it in Khmer style in 1917. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art - notably sculptures - throughout the ages.  Visit Royal Palace is a royal residence now where His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal families live. it is like a small town of royal dynasties. Continue to Silver Pagoda, serves less as a functioning temple than a repository for cultural treasures such as 90 kg golden Buddha encrusted with 2086 diamonds. Visit Russian Market (Toul Tumpong Market), the Market has gained reputation for cheap clothing, a large selection of Buddha images and woodcarvings, betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewelry, and classic music instrument.

Back to your hotel around 17:00. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 13

Phnom Penh - Siem Reap - A floating village - Tonle Sap Lake

Fly to Siem Reap and visit Tonle Sap Lake

Morning: Have breakfast then check out your hotel. Transfer to Phnom Penh airport for a departure to Siem Reap. Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, transfer to the hotel with your tour guide.
 
13:00: We visit the floating village of Kompong Pluk where you will take the wood boat to explore the Cambodian houses on stilt and the flooded forest before reaching to Tonle Sap lake to take a glimpse of fishermen and other activities. We spend the rest of day visiting the "Chantiers Ecoles - Les Artisans d'Angkor" which provides training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting.

17:00: Back to your hotel. Free at your leisure. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 14

Siem Reap - Angkor Complex

04:00: Early morning, if the weather is good you can wake up early and watch the sunrise over Angkor Area – the idea is to view the reflection of amazing Angkor temple in the morning sun.

09:00: Transfer to visit South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, Elephants terrace and Baphoun.
 
In the afternoon, explore Angkor Wat Temple and Bakheng Hill (Bakheng Temple). Before sunset, take a peaceful & romantic private Angkor Gondola Boat Ride on the moat of Angkor Thom to watch the amazing sunset if weather permitted.

08:00: Heading out of town in the morning, make your way on a newly paved road to the intricately carved and well-preserved temple of Banteay Srei. Along the way, stop-over the Preah Dark village and followed by a visit of the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends.

On the way back, the jungle covered Temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight to discover. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. Then visit Ta Keo and Banteay Kdei.

Back to your hotel around 17:00. Overnight in Siem Reap.
