Day 01

Bangkok Arrival

Welcome to the capital of Thailand

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by Asia Top Travel's tour guide at the airport then get transfer to the hotel. After check in, free and relax on your own, overnight in Bangkok.
Day 02

Bangkok City Tour

Bangkok city is famous for incredible temples. Let explore these temples and enjoy a boat ride along Chao Phraya River

08.00 AM: In the morning after having breakfast at hotel, meet our guide and drive to visit the famous Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, where the blind may be trained to become masseuses. Then continue to visit a site that Thai people consider the most sacred in the Kingdom: The Royal Grand Palace. This is one of the most beautiful examples of an ancient Thai court, with several halls in same compound. 

You will also visit the Wat Phra Kaew or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (officially known as Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram) is regarded as the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand. Located in the historic centre of Bangkok, within the grounds of the Grand Palace, it enshrines Phra Kaew Morakot (the Emerald Buddha), the highly revered Buddha image meticulously carved from a single block of jade. The Emerald Buddha is a Buddha image in the meditating position in the style of the Lanna school of the north, dating from the 15th century. 

After that we go to the Chao Phraya River’s edge and board a local style "Long Tail Boat", then spend a few hours to enjoy the old canals of the Thonburi side of Bangkok, where an older and more gracious lifestyle still prevails. You will have opportunities to snack, purchase knick-knacks, or use a toilet. Pay a visit to Wat Arun, perhaps better known as the Temple of the Dawn, is one of the best known landmarks and one of the most published images of Bangkok.

The tour ends around 17.30. Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 03

Bangkok - Ayutthaya – Bangkok

Ayutthaya - an ancient city in Thailand, former capital of Thailand for 417 years which has a lot of stories to tell. Wandering through endless ancient ruin sites, you can’t help but feel humbled by the ingenuity of the Ayodha craftsmen and their powerful spiritual beliefs

08.00 AM: After breakfast, we take an early departure to Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand for 417 years.

Upon arrival, a tuk tuk "Kermit" will make you discover the magnificent ruins of ancient temples in the Ayutthaya Historical Park: Wat Mahathat, Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Viharn Phra Mongkhon Bophit and Wat Chaiwatthanaram. A quick stop in the Muslim quarter you will discover the most famous delicacies of Ayutthaya whose wound cotton candy in a pancake.

Afternoon, enjoy beautiful views of Wat Choeng Phanan, continue to Bang Pa In Summer Palace built by King Rama IV at the time of the growing European influence in Thailand. Admire the building of Italian style and surround temples. Then transfer back to Bangkok, you will reach the hotel around 17.00 - 18.00. Overnight in Bangkok.
 
Day 04

Bangkok - Fly To Chiang Mai

Say goodbye to Bangkok, you will fly to Chiang Mai

After breakfast, you are free until meet our tour guide and transfer to the airport for flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival meet our guide transfer to hotel. Check in and relax on your own.

Day 05

Chiang Mai Sightseeing

Chiang Mai is another city of Thailand with amazing temples awaits for explorations from you

08.00 AM: In the morning, you will transfer on a private air-conditioned vehicle to the mountain temple of Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the most famous landmark of Chiang Mai. It's an exquisite golden pagoda with 6 kg of pure gold on the peak and the rest plated with gold shines high over the city. The sound of temple bell fills the air, and the view down over the city makes an irresistible photo opportunity.

Then visit Wat Chedi Luang (temple of the big stupa) is a Buddhist temple in the historic centre of Chiang Mai, Thailand. The current temple grounds were originally made up of three temples — Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Ho Tham and Wat Sukmin. Then continue to visit Wat Chiang Man, the oldest wat in the city.

Continue moving to explore the Wat Phra Singh, one of the most impressive temples in Chiang Mai and home to the city's most revered Buddha image.

In the afternoon, start by tricycle (samlor) – un-motorized three-wheeler vehicle around the Old City including a visit of city moats and gates. Stop on the way to visit Three Kings Monument to pay respect to the first King of Chiang Mai, King Mengrai where the histories of Chiang Mai begin. Pay a visit to a local market called “Waroros Market”, the lively market in Chiang Mai where you can explore fresh fruits, vegetable, food, necessary items for daily life, etc.

Then return to hotel around 17.00, the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 06

Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai - Golden Triangle - Chiang Mai

Chiang Rai is located in the North of Thailand. It is the northernmost large city in Thailand. It is famous for Hilltribe villages, beautiful temples and this city also has borders with Laos and Thailand where we call Golden Triangle. Let's come and discover

08.00 AM: After breakfast at hotel, we depart Chiang Rai in early morning by a private vehicle and en-route stop at the hot spring for relax.

Continue driving through the countryside, passing rice paddy fields and mountains. Visit a unique white temple built by one of the best national artist. You will visit Karen Hilltribe Village before going to visit Mae Sai Border, this is not only the most important border market but also it is the easiest way for any tourist who want to visit Myanmar the mystic country (tourist pays immigration fee THB 500 on your own for one day crossing to Myanmar).

Later, we make a rest stop at the Golden Triangle in Chiang Sean, where the three borders of Myanmar - Laos - Thailand are met. You will take a long tail boat to Laos side and see hill top viewpoint, marvel at the splendor of the mighty Mekong joining with the Ruak and forming the actual "Triangle" with Laos - Burma and Thailand.

Transfer you back to hotel around 17.00. Overnight in Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai Fly To Yangon

Say goodbye to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Yangon - the treasure of Asia – Myanmar is waiting for you to explore

After breakfast, you are free until get picked up and transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon.

Day 08

Yangon City Tour

A day tour around Yangon city brings you another feeling of a new destination in your Asia Trip. Inner peace will be what you feel when you come to visit wonderful temples in this city

08.00 AM: After having breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to visit Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda where you will be astonished by the size of the 70-meter long Buddha. When visiting Yangon, noone can ever forget the magnificent of the Golden Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the most spectacular religious architectures in the world as well as a pride of Myanmar. The visual delights present there alone, are worth the trip. Witness the colors transform on the 100-meter chedi which is literally enclosed in over 40 tons of gold leaf.

In the afternoon, you will venture downtown to explore the centre city with all its fabulous blend of architecture and sites. Pass by historical buildings with their colonial charm, which cannot be admired anywhere else in Asia. Start from the post office to the Sule Paya in the middle of downtown for visiting through Mahabandoola Garden and Independence Monument on your way. Take a little time to discover Little India and Chinatown, with colorful cacophony of restaurants, temples and markets. Tour ends around 17.00. Overnight in Yangon

Day 09

Yangon - Fly To Bagan - Sightseeing

Bagan is known as a wonderland of over 2000 ancient temples where no visitor can ignore to discover the Burmese’s history and religious beliefs

We depart early from the hotel to take a flight to Bagan. Bagan is known as a wonderland of over 2000 ancient temples where no visitor can ignore to discover the Burmese’s history and religious beliefs.

We will firstly visit Nyang U Market, a typical market which remained in Myanmar for centuries. Then we will pay a visit to Shwezigon pagoda, the older golden pagoda in Bagan located in Nyang U town.

In the afternoon, we explore Htilominlo Temple as well as Ananda Temple as further travel into the Bagan plains and the surrounding temples. Here you will have an exhaustive look at Burmese Buddhist traditions. Tour ends around 17.00. Overnight in Bagan
Day 10

Bagan Exploring Full Day

Bagan is an ancient city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site where still has a lot of things that should not be missed. Spend another day to enjoy this mysterious city

08.00 AM: Today you continue your exploration of the ancient city by taking an exotic horse cart ride to the Nan Paya Pagoda, one of the biggest temples in Bagan and many other interesting sites nearby. After that, you stop at Minkaba Village and Gubyaukyi temple, take note of the architectural difference in Myazedi pagoda before heading to Manuha Temple.

Visit a few of Bagan’s main temples like Dhammayangyi, the largest built by King Narathu in the 12th century. Depending on time and interest, there’s the option to explore some lesser known temples around the complex. While riding through the plains discover a traditional village, where it is possible to learn how local livelihoods have remained unchanged for years, from using earthen kilns to create pottery to hand-pressing peanuts and sesames for oil.

Lunch and dinner on own account. Finish the tour around 16 - 17.00. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 11

Bagan - Fly To Heho - Inle Lake Sightseeing

Inle is a freshwater lake located in the Nyaungshwe Township of Taunggyi District of Shan State where is one of Myanmar’s most spectacular and breathtaking sights. Your trip to Myanmar is not completed if you miss this amazing place

After enjoying your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Heho. From Heho, you will experience a lovely one-hour scenic drive (32km – 1 hour) which leads to Nyaungshwe, gateway village to Inle Lake. Along the way, you will have an opportunity to visit rural workshops that specialize in traditional Shan paper and unique handcrafted umbrellas. Upon reaching the edge of the lake, take a short orientation tour of Nyaungshwe, a small town of narrow streets dotted with temples, monasteries, tea shops and local houses.

Then you will board a private motorboat and begin heading out onto Inle Lake, one of Myanmar’s most spectacular and breathtaking sights. Its calm waters are dotted with floating vegetation and fishing canoes, to which scenic hills provide the perfect backdrop. Along the way you will pass several villages that are built on stilts over the lake, which are inhabited by the local Intha people. Observe the daily activities of the local leg-rowing fishermen and see their ‘floating gardens’, which are built up from strips of water hyacinth, earth and anchored to the bottom of the lake with bamboo poles. There are also many traditional crafts originating on Inle Lake and, should you wish, we can stop for a visit to weaving factory, boat builders (depending on the time of year), a cigar making workshop and blacksmiths.

Proceed to the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main haven, which contains five sacred images of Buddha decorated in gold leaf. Head to the Ywarma village, where you have the chance to admire the floating gardens and silver smiths. The day will come to a close with a return trip by boat back to your hotel around 17.30

Day 12

Inle Lake - Indein Complex - Fly To Mandalay - Sightseeing

Mandalay, the second largest city of Myanmar and one of the ancient royal capitals is often perceived and described in literature as Asia at its most traditional, timeless and alluring

08.00 AM: After having breakfast at hotel, a 1-hour boat ride down a small canal will take you to Indein, positioned on the western shores of Inle Lake.

Take a leisurely stroll around the village before ascending a rural road to the top of a hill. Once you’ve arrived at the summit, you will be greeted buy an iconic Buddha image which sits enshrined among hundreds of stupa ruins and overgrown shrubbery. Here, from the peak, you will also be rewarded with mesmerizing views of the placid surroundings. The Indein Pagoda complex is undoubtedly one of the most amazing sites around the shore of the lake and it consists of hundreds of small stupas which are overrun by moss and greenery.

After that, we take a flight to Mandalay. You will get picked up by our tour guide and driver, transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Mandalay.
Day 13

Mandalay City - Amarapura

Mandalay is known as a city of temples, Monastery, U Bein Bridge. A day tour will brings you deeper sights of Mandalay and surroundings

Mandalay, the second largest city of Myanmar and one of the ancient royal capitals is often perceived and described in literature as Asia at its most traditional, timeless and alluring but those who go meet a booming and vibrant city located on the banks of the Irrawaddy River. However, despite the energy and thriving business it's where the cultural heart of Myanmar lies and tradition of music, dance and drama are still alive.

08.00 AM: Your excursion in Mandalay will start with a visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, home of one of the Myanmar’s most revered Buddha images. Throughout the years, it has been covered with gold leaves, making it a quite ‘lumpy’ texture. We countinue to visit Mahagandayone Monastery where more than one thousands of monks live and study. Visit U Bein Bridge across Taungthaman Lake, over 150 years old and which is still in use.

In the afternoon, we drive to visit a gold- leaf making village, Shwenandaw Monastery (noted for its exquisite wood carvings) and Kuthodaw Pagoda (known as the world’s Biggest Book). At the end of the trip, transfer back to your hotel around 16 - 17.00. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 14

Mandalay - Mingun – Departure

Enjoy the boat ride along Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun and discover the highlights of this town before finishing your trip to Myanmar.

08.00 AM: After breakfast, you start your excursion by boat on the Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun, 11km upriver from Mandalay. Visit unfinished Mingun Paya, Mingun Bell (90 tons) and Hsinbyume Paya. Come back to Mandalay.

After enjoying lunch (lunch on your own cost), free time at your leisure until we will transfer to the Mandalay Airport for your departure flight to come back home. Service ends!
