Danang is the 4th large city of Vietnam. The city has an international airport and is the main gate to access the other places in central Vietnam. More than a gateway, the city has some of the best attractions to offer to visitors and worth at least a one or two nights stay.

1. Marble Mountain
Marble Mountain, located 10km south from Danang is a fairyland with a dreamlike scenery, pagodas, and mysterious grottoes full of statues. You will be amazed in front of the unique architecture of the pagoda and temple. Climbing more than 100 steps from foot to top of the mountain is a good workout and it is worth it to admire the wonderful panoramic view over the land and sea from the top.

2. Golf Course
Golf lovers will find a great golf course in Danang called Montgomerie Links. It is a perfect play ground to practice your swing on the 18-hole course surrounded by the sea and the Marble Mountain.

3. Lady Buddha
Just outside the city of Danang in Son Tra Peninsula, meet Lady Buddha: a 67 meter statue (the tallest in Vietnam) looking after the fishermen in the bay. The huge statue is situated inside Linh Ung Pagoda. Because of its size, you might easily see Lady Buddha from Danang.
 

4. Museums
If you wish to learn more about the history and culture of Vietnam, Danang is a good spot. The city features some interesting museums including the fascinating Cham Museum – museum of ancient Champa kingdom’s sculptures and artefacts, the Danang Museum – museum about history of Vietnam, the 5th Military Division Museum – museum about the resistance against the diverse occupations in Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh Museum.

5. Dragon Bridge
The stunning Dragon Bridge – the longest in Vietnam – crosses the Han River in the city center of Danang and became famous for its show. Indeed, more than being colorfully lightened it spits fire and water from 9pm at night during the weekends.
